My passion for photography has been a constant thread in the fabric of my life, weaving its way through my experiences and memories. It all began during my childhood in the great state of Texas, where I was fortunate enough to grow up surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Growing up in Texas, I was always captivated by the vast landscapes, the big skies, and the ever-changing seasons. But my love for photography was truly ignited by my dad, who not only taught me how to draw but also introduced me to the magic of capturing moments through the lens of a camera.
My dad was the kind of person who could find beauty in the smallest of things. He showed me that the wonders of the world could be found in the delicate petals of a flower, the graceful dance of a butterfly, or the intricate patterns in a spider's web. Through his teachings, I learned that photography wasn't just about taking pictures; it was about telling stories and preserving moments that might otherwise be forgotten.
Some of my fondest memories from my childhood involve our family trips to state and national parks. From the rugged beauty of the Texas Hill Country to the majestic landscapes of Big Bend National Park, those adventures filled my heart with awe and wonder. I vividly remember my dad patiently waiting for the perfect lighting to capture a breathtaking sunset or waking up at the crack of dawn to photograph the misty morning landscapes. Those moments left an indelible mark on me.
As I look back on those formative years, I realize that my passion for photography was like a seed planted deep within me, nurtured by the love and appreciation for the natural world instilled by my family. And now, it's my turn to carry on that tradition and share the beauty I've been privileged to witness through my own lens.
